Jack Alolome speaks on father's disapproval of NDC affiliation

Gospel musician Jack Alolome has revealed his father's strong disapproval of his decision to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking in an interview on Power FM, shared via Facebook on September 28, 2025, Jack Alolome recounted a blunt statement made by his father, a staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following his political switch.

"I was born into NPP. My mother and father are NPP. My father told me that there is no way he will support me if I stand for a position in the NDC. He added that even if he dies, his shirt won't even support my campaign," he said.

According to the gospel artiste, his father’s dislike for the NDC stems from its founder, Jerry John Rawlings, whose rule left a lasting impression on him.

He further stated that despite his father’s disapproval, he hasn’t disowned him.

"He is an anti-Rawlings, so he hates everything about the NDC. He hasn't disowned me, but he hates the party.

"If he meets President Mahama, he would greet him. He can't say otherwise, but asking him to join the party, unless God comes through," he said.
