Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong who has consistently attacked investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has said that the only condition upon which he can smoke a peace pipe with Anas is when Anas publicly admits that he is not as honourable as he claims to be, and seeks forgiveness from people his work has destroyed.

Mr Kennedy Agyapong was speaking on The Dialogue on Net2 TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

Mr Agyapong who has dragged Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to the General Legal Council accusing him of misconduct as a lawyer will be meeting face-to-face with Anas on 26th July, 2018.

Speaking on Net 2 TV, Ken said “the only way I will stop talking about him (Anas) is for him to come out and confess his crimes and apologize” Ken Agyapong said.

“He should go on his knees and ask for forgiveness. He should publicly apologize to the families he has destroyed with his work. He should come and buy airtime and go on his knees. When he does that I can promise I wont talk about him, I will also forgive him.” he added.

Asked by the host if he is willing to drink tea with Anas, Mr Agyapong dismissed the idea totally, saying it wont happen and that ordinarily, he doesn’t consider Anas as his equal.

“See, I will stop talking the day Anas will take a phone and say that I have wronged Ghanaians. I have destroyed families... I have deceived people, and therefore forgive me... that day, I will stop talking.” Kennedy Agyapong emphasized.

Mr Agyepong has said he has evidence that Anas who is a lawyer and a journalist connived with a state attorney to have a case against some accused persons dismissed. The vociferous MP has been on a campaign against Anas insisting that his style of allegedly entrapping people is contrary to the ethics of journalism and law and that Anas has stolen lands and properties at Tse Ado using intimidating tactics.

Anas has also dragged the NPP legislator to court for defaming him and demanding of the High Court to award ¢25 million in aggravated damages for publishing defamatory materials.
