I have no problem with Sarkodie – Obrafour

Ghanaian rap legend, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, popularly known as Obrafour has rubbished rumours circulating on social media that he has a brawl with BET award-winning rapper, Michael Osei Owusu widely recognized as Sarkodie.

This comes few days after Obrafour had released two songs, ‘Kasahari’ and ‘No Vote’ to “whip some rappers in line.”

Most people have interpreted the ‘Kasahari’ track to be a ‘diss’ track to Sarkodie because Obrafour a few years ago featured Sarkodie on a song called ‘Hiplife’ where he asked Sarkodie to touch his crown and promised to give to him if he worked hard.

But according to Obrafour, the media organizations circulating such reports deliberately want to traffic audience to their web portals.

Speaking to host Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Obrafour, clearing the air, said: “I see those things are distractions. I don’t know why people think that I am the author of the song so I conceived that concept. If there is any confusion somewhere I thought they will come to me to ask. The mischief is always too much. I think people don’t understand me…” he maintained.

Sarkodie, according to Obrafour embraced the ‘Kasahari’ culture through his craft hence he couldn’t fathom why people want to place a barrier between the two of them.

“The lyrics in the ‘Kasahari’ song praised Sarkodie; it wasn’t meant to diminish his career…” Obrafour stressed.

“I said that because of Sarkodie’s association with me, he has been exposed by Kasahari. I am not sounding blasphemous but as Jesus Christ was revealed by God, I did same for Sarkodie through Kasahari…” he explained.
