The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyieso in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kennedy Kankam has bemoaned the deteriorating state of the road network in the country appealing for funds from international agencies to fix them.

He is of the view that this led to the death of the fast-rising dancehall artiste which sad event occurred on Thursday night on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway

“Only Thursday night a popular songstress in this country called Ebony involved in a road accident and died due to the bad road network”, the lawmaker told the British High Commissioner to Ghana, lian Walker at a function in Kumasi.

“My appeal to you is to help us to fix our bad roads including the one you travelled on to this area and also help us to get one Senior High School here in Sokoban”, Hon. Kennedy KanKam further appealed.

His appeal on improved roads come at the back of sensational dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns involvement in a ghastly road accident at Nyamebekyere near Makranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region

Her black Jeep vehicle with registration number AS 497-16 collided head-on with a KIA Grand Bird VIP bus with registration number GT3232-17 from the opposite direction.

The remains of Ebony and two other occupants established to be her bodyguard and a close pal who were in the vehicle with her have since been deposited at a local hospital in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The driver, Chartey Oko is currently on admission at Bechem Government Hospital receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the Tourism Arts and Culture Minister, Catherine Abelema Afeku has said the government will consult with the family of the late dancehall act, in order to give her a befitting burial.
