Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has urged Ghanaians to put aside their differences to help fight the deadly Coronavirus.

The artiste notes that issues about the virus and its adverse effects go beyond beefs and factions.

The ‘My Level’ hitmaker, in a video posted online, said Ghanaians should go beyond their allegiance for certain artistes and see the Coronavirus (COVID-19), which has affected nine Ghanaians so far and thousands of lives globally, as a national fight.

“… this no be the time wey you go talk say I be Shatta fan, I be Stonebwoy, I be Sarkodie fan. We all we be one people now. This be now we go fit fight one cause and win so let us win Ghanaians,” Shatta Wale passionately appealed.

He advised his fans and Ghanaians to adhere to strict hygienic practices, including constantly washing their hands and using sanitizers.

The dancehall artiste also urged leaders on the continent to do their best to fight the menace.

So far, Ghana has confirmed nine cases of COVID-19 and as part of cautionary measures, President Akufo-Addo, on Sunday, announced the closure of schools and universities and also the ban on public gatherings.

Already, many institutions have responded to the president’s call with churches suspending church services and other activities like weddings and Easter conventions.
