Kumawood actress, Portia Asare has kicked against the building of a film village in Ghana to help the movie industry.
According to Portia, government constructing a film village in Ghana is unnecessary.
She revealed this in an exclusive interview with Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’.
Portia Asare argued that filmmakers in the country need more theatres to showcase their movies and not a film village.
She also bemoaned that the name “Film Village” sounds very nice but it won’t be beneficial at the moment.
The actress added that private-owned cinema houses charge too much to showcase a movie.
Portia Asare questioned the achievements of the industry and why some industry players agreed to the building of the film village.
