Lucky Mensah’s “Come back to me” made its way into the police service when COP George Akuffo Dampare chose to inspire his officers by making them sing, on his return to lead the regional command.
In short YouTube video, the Director of Operations of the Ghana Police Service entertainingly “commanded” some Police officers who were on parade to sing Lucky Mensah’s Old School Boy song.
Just as the popular saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”, COP Dampare decided to have a little fun with the Sing-along to boost the morale of the officers.
In the video, the police officers obediently sang, “Come back, come back, come back to me, come back, come back, come back to me, kai kai hu tri mu se me ni wo a ye be …” while COP Dampare responded with, “ I am back, I am back, I am back to you, I am back, I am back, I am back to you, ma kai kai wo me tri mu se me ni mu aye be pen ooo ooo I am back to you!”
COP George Akuffo Dampare was in May 2016 transferred from Accra to the Central Region as Commandant of the Police Command and Staff College at Winneba.
He was later this year transferred back to Accra to replace COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as new Director General of Operations in another reshuffle of the Ghana Police Service.
