AshantiGold cancel contract of coach Kasim Gokyildiz over 'fake' coaching license

AshantiGold SC are on the market for new coach after parting ways with Turkish Kasim Gokyildiz.

GHANASoccerent.com understands the decision was taken on Thursday and has since arrived in his native Turkey.

Gokyildiz had his license revoked by the Club Licensing Board after the Ghana Football Association announced it could not authenticate his UEFA A License Coaching Certificate after checks with the Turkish and German Football Federations.

Although the Turkish trainer insisted he had the requisite coaching badge in a stinking Facebook post, he has been relieved of his post.

AshantiGold will be led by assistant coach Yakubu Mambo on Sunday in the Ashanti Derby at the Baba Yara Stadium.
