NPP manifesto is business friendly – ASHYBEC

The Ashanti Youth Business Executives (ASHYBEC), a business group, has described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto as very friendly to the business community in Ghana.

In a statement issued in Kumasi, Mr Theophilus Davis, Vice President of the group, said after taking much time to study the NPP manifesto, ASHYBEC is convinced that the manifesto of the NPP has something good for Ghanaian businessmen and women.

Mr Davis said after monitoring the IEA presidential and vice presidential debates held recently, the group was encouraged by the fact that the NPP had a very formidable team to handle the economy of Ghana.

He explained that the instability of the cedi is badly affecting business operations in the country adding that “the cost of doing business today in Ghana is so high due to erratic power supply coupled with high electricity tariffs and businessmen do not have access to loans due to high interest rate”.

The ASHYBEC Vice President said these factors and the love they have for mother Ghana have motivated the group to throw their support behind the formidable team of Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Mamudu Bawumia to ensure the growth of businesses in Ghana, with its attendant socio-economic development.

Mr Davis gave the assurance that ASHYBEC would do all in its power to rally solidly behind the NPP to make a huge difference in the December 2012 general election.
