Stop wasting your time on Anas and construct Dompim road - NDC to Kennedy Agyapong

The Assin Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has advised Kennedy Agyapong to stop wasting his time on investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and channel his energies into fixing the deplorable Assin Fosu-Twifo Praso road which passes through his hometown, Assin Dompim.

Hon Kennedy Agyapong, this morning in an interview with Assin Fosu based Nkwa Fm, attacked Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, described him as a corrupt person who blackmails others to make money and promised to expose him further.

He also attacked some elements in the NDC and made claims to the effect that the Late Former Vice President, H.E Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur told him about how corrupt acts in the erstwhile NDC government worried him.

Kennedy Agyapong further bemoaned the fact that his constituents do not appreciate all that he does for them and listed a number of jobs he claimed to have aided his constituents to get.

But reacting to this in a press statement, the Assin Central NDC advised Kennedy Agyapong to channel his energies into making Assin Central better and fix the deplorable Assin Fosu to Twifo Praso road which passes through his hometown Assin Dompim.

They also described as unfortunate, comments by Kennedy Agyapong to the effect that he will fix the said road due to his daughter's pending wedding ceremony.

They further described Kennedy Agyapong's "Who watches the Watchman" as empty, bogus and nonsensical and advised Kennedy Agyapong to stop wasting his time on Anas construct the Assin Dompim road.

They alleged that President Akuffo Addo has neglected Assin Central Constituency because of Kennedy Agyapong's nefarious and insulting acts.

ASSIN CENTRAL NDC REACTS TO HON KENNEDY AGYAPONG'S INTERVIEW ON NKWA FM

Our attention has been drawn to an interview granted by Hon Kennedy Agyapong in Assin Fosu based Nkwa FM this morning, in which he made several unfounded statements and spewed blatant lies.

It must be noted, that Kennedy Agyapong's supposed "Who watches the Watchman" is empty, bogus and nonsensical.

We are not surprised at all, that the self-acclaimed anti-corruption crusader will run insults on Internationally recognized Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for exposing corrupt activities at the Ghana Football Association, which indicted President Akuffo Addo, Vice President Dr Bawumia and some top elements in NPP including Kennedy Agyapong himself.

He is known for defending corrupt officials in NPP, whose corrupt activities favours him personally.

Kennedy Agyapong is on record to have openly defended Alfred Obeng Boateng, the former BOST MD over the illegal sale of contaminated fuel at the Agency, merely because Alfred Obeng gave him some monies to finance NPPs 2016 campaign.

This same Kennedy Agyapong is on record to have defended the Ministry of Energy's sole-sourced contract in the sum of 1 Trillion to His wife, even when Public Procurement Authority had labelled the contract as sole-sourced on their website.

It, therefore, suffices to say, that Kennedy Agyapong's supposed corruption fight is dependent on how much money he gets from the underlying activity.

We will, therefore, advise him as a Member of Parliament, to stop wasting his energy on the Credible Internationally recognized Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and rather channel those energies into alleviating the worsened plight of his constituents. The good people of Assin Central have been denied the needed social amenities due to Kennedy Agyapong's insulting character and nefarious activities.

Was it not shameful on his part to have alluded to the fact that the Assin Foso - Twifo Praso road, which passes through his hometown Assin Dompim, has not been awarded to a contract even after several calls for it from his constituents?

Was it not more shameful for him to have mentioned that he will reshape the road due to his daughter's pending wedding ceremony?

We are of the view that President Akuffo Addo and the entire NPP government do not take him seriously any longer because of his persistent misbehaviour hence the denial of our rightful social amenities as a people. It must not take the wedding ceremony of Kennedy Agyapong's daughter for the Assin Fosu - Dompim - Twifo Praso to be reshaped.

We also noted Kennedy Agyapong's admission in the said interview, that no one in Assin praises him for supposed good works that he has done in the past years for the constituency.

The admission that as a long-serving Member of Parliament, no one testifies to His supposed good works, is enough evidence that he has failed woefully and that people have arisen to know the politics of lies and deceit that he engages in. To mention routine recruitments at YEA and Forestry Commission as his achievements in the constituency is very pathetic. These are routine recruitments that have been going on since these institutions were established.

The Assin Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), wish to caution Kennedy Agyapong to act as an Honorable Member of Parliament, Channel his energies into making Assin Central better and stop denying us our rightful social amenities through his nefarious and insulting acts.
