Koku Anyidoho, Deputy General Secretary NDC Koku Anyidoho, Deputy General Secretary NDC

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho, has stated that the Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo after disintegrating his party now wants to divide Western Region.

According to him, division of the ‘Western -North’ region is tantamount to destruction.

He blamed Nana Addo for NPP’s internal squabbles, saying through orchestrated plans by Nana Addo himself, the NPP can now boost of different factions.

He wondered if a divided front can pursue a common agenda of wresting power from NDC.

Mr.Anyidoho advised Ghanaians not to accept unrealistic ideas by the NPP.

Nana Addo has announced that he will create a ‘Western-North’ Region when voted into power because the region is lagging behind in infrastructural developments.

But speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, Mr. Anyidoho entreated Ghanaians not to buy the idea by Nana Addo to divide Western region, saying the policy is not feasible.

According to him, the Flagbearer of NPP if not monitored closely, will divide the country.

He believes creating a different region out of Western region will only create disunity among residents.

‘The people of Western region, have they assigned him to divide the region, after dividing his own party, he wants to divide Western region and then Ghana, we will not allow him,’ he said.

The Deputy General Secretary of NDC asserted that the evil thoughts which have filled the minds of NPP members will not work.

‘The NPP is filled with evil thoughts, if the Lord has not been on our side, we would have killed ourselves in this country without knowing the cause, we will continue to pray to God to be on the side of Ghana, all in the name of politics, they have created confusion in the country,’ he said.
