There was a bit of confusion at one of the polling stations of the Dome-Kwabenya constituency after a voter cast his ballot.

The voter who cast his ballot at the St Dominic Catholic Church in the Taifa South district, took a photograph of his ballot with his phone possibly as evidence was quickly approached by an NPP representative and was asked to delete it.

When the GhanaWeb team on the grounds probed further about the incident, the New Patriotic Party ‘representative’ denied asking the voter to delete it.

The voter, however, confirmed that he took a picture of his ballot and was asked to delete, a situation he said, was not a bother to him.

A total of 125 voters are expected to cast their ballot at the St Dominic Catholic Church.

The polls started on time with a few people casting their ballot at the time this story was being filed.

NPP delegates are expected to vote to choose between Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, Mike Oquaye Junior, and the incumbent MP for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo.

Over 102,000 delegates across the country go to the polls to vote for parliamentary representatives ahead of the elections in December.

The Dome-Kwabenya constituency has been highlighted as one of the hotspots ever since a leading member of the NPP, Mike Oquaye Jr decided to run against the incumbent member of parliament for the area.
