NDC Upper East Caucus in Parliament congratulates new party executives

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Upper East Caucus in Parliament has congratulated newly elected regional executives of the NDC in the upper East Region.

In a press statement, the Caucus urged the new regional leaders to aim at ensuring the NDC wins all fifteen parliamentary seats in the region while increasing votes for the general elections come 2020.

“The Caucus wishes to reiterate that there were no losers in the elections. NDC won. It is our fervent hope that the New leadership will be gracious enough to quickly reach out to all persons who contested and bring them on board for the task of presenting to the people of the Region a viable alternative to the current clueless NPP government,” the statement reads.

It adds, “The Caucus looks forward to engaging the newly elected regional leadership with the aim of ensuring that the party captures the fifteen parliamentary seats in the Region whilst increasing the presidential votes for our yet to be elected flagbearer when the country goes to the polls in 2020.”

Congratulatory message from the Upper East Parliamentary Caucus on the successful Regional Conference of the National Democratic Congress in the Upper East

Bolgatanga, September 3, 2018. The Upper East Caucus in Parliament congratulates the delegates and the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress in the Upper East Region for a successful Regional conference of the party held on September 1, 2018 at the Bolgatanga Polytechnic. The Members of the NDC remain the custodians and embodiment of the values, cultures, traditions and ethics of our great party thus the peaceful manner in which the conference was organised reaffirmed their stature and correctness of the reverence with which they are held by the Party and the society at large.

The Caucus further congratulates the New leadership who were elected at the conference. We have no doubt that they are equal to the mammoth task of making a full and rich contribution to the work of the party at all levels. Armed with a fresh mandate, unity of purpose and a thoroughgoing process of introspection and reflection, the New executive body has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the growth of the party and assisting the party regain lost grounds in the Region. We hope that the executive body has further committed itself to strengthen the NDC in the region as a tool in the hands of the people to fight the challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality.
