I have no regret about my hatred for people – Rawlings

Ex-president Jerry John Rawlings says he is never apologetic for showing his hatred towards people because he can't stand people with evil intentions.

Rawlings said “For me, I hate evil and injustice. So when people hate me because I speak, I am least bothered. When there are wrong things and you speak against it you are hated.”

Addressing Cadres and National Democratic Congress (NDC) activists at a well attended Town Hall meeting at the Art Centre in Accra, the former military leader said, ‘hatred abound in the heart of everybody and I have no regret about mine because I hate evil. If people who do evil things will hate those of us with a clean heart, they will be hit with heart attack, collapse and die. A friend of us who died recently, go and ask him who was paying him to do evil against my wife and I’.

The meeting brought together party gurus including former Defense Minister Benjamin Kumbour, former Deputy Eastern Regional Minister Antwi Bosiako, Hon. Akuamoah Boateng, Cadres Chairman Kofi Aikings, former NHIS Boss Sylvester Mensah and party faithfuls.

Chairman Rawlings justified his constant criticism of the Mills-Mahama administration saying "when I give advises in secret its never taken".

He pointed out how he advised the NDC about the party’s problem in the Northern regions and how they didn’t take heed to it. According to him, he was rather accused of instigating people in the north.
