GNACOPS launches web application to put private schools into digitized, paperless address system

Private Education in Ghana has incalculably increased in numbers, enrollment, facilities and human resources with the sole aim of providing substantial quality education delivery in Ghana.

A reliable record which was made known to the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo in a recent meeting by the council show that there are over 22,000 Private Basic Schools in the country representing 36.5% of total Basic Education delivery in Ghana.

With this increasing rate of Private Education in Ghana, GNACOPS has come out confidently to redefine the alarming phase of private schools through regulations, innovations and technology designs to empower and develop the ambit of private schools community to suit intercontinental standards in education delivery.

As part of solving some of the bedeviling challenges in the phase of Private Education in Ghana, the Data Management and Logistic Directorate of the Councils in partnership with SmartSchool-Networks which is subsidiary software development wing of Notify African Company has launched a web-based application dubbed “GNACOPS-DATA” that seeks to solve the unavailable accurate database for private schools by digitizing exact schools’ locations and creating reliable comprehensive database for the private schools community in Ghana.

Speaking to the media, the National Director of Logistics and Data Management, Mr. Timothy Gyebi expressed his great satisfaction for achieving this legacy for the Private Education Community and the Country entirely.

He said any reflective decision making in this world today of science and technology advancement is mostly made by accurate facts from reliable database sources, where references can be made to support advocacy, planning, budgeting for improvement in socio-economic development.

He therefore optimistically said, by this database developed the council would factually broaden its advocacy potency and seek support from many organizations both locally and foreign to assist the private schools in terms of infrastructure expansions, capacity building programs, financial aids and supply of teaching and learning materials which is a good indication to revamp the phase of private education in Ghana.

He further advised the private school owners to feed the system with accurate figures as they register their institutions’ facilities to help have a reliable platform to augment the operations of the councils with a dependable source of information to represent the private schools.

Mr. Timothy Gyebi in conclusion, therefore, called upon the government to partner the councils through the sector ministry in the areas of monitoring to regulate the unimpeded activities of the private schools in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of Notify Africa Company and a lead Software Developer, Mr. Mensah Hughes Samuel said, he is so passionate about the innovative solutions the council has brought to aid the identification of private schools in Ghana.

He added that with this web solution all activities that require paper works are now going to be paperless; according to him schools can log in to www.gnacopsgh.com to register their institution and get MEMBERSHIP ID, SCHOOL CODE AND APPROVED CERTIFICATE, apply to GNACOPS VOLUNTEERS SERVICE SCHEME and get their approval instantly and also applicants can register as volunteers and get their APPOINTMENT LETTERS AND ID CARD instant.
