Covid-19: Angola to receive new tests

Without specifying the origin or quantity, the spokeswoman for the Multi-Sector Commission for Preventing and Combating Pandemic, said that the tests should have been in the country last week, but due to the problems of transports, it will only arrive on the 16th.

“Angola has no testing difficulties. We have done everything not to lack it”, the minister told TV Zimbo, in reaction to some speculation.

According to the authorities, Angola is able to carry out, on average, six thousand tests, through campaigns or voluntarily, in specific hospitals.

Last Monday (12th), six clinical analysis laboratories were authorized by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) to perform serological (rapid) and elisa tests, as part of the reinforcement of the capacity to respond to public demand on SARS testing - cov2.

Listed are the laboratories of Clinicas Girasol, Cligest, Mediag, Sagrada Esperança, Centro Alada and Cidil, all qualified for RT-PCR and other tests.
