The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has attacked recent afrobarometer report by the Centre for the Democratic Governance (CDD) that some Ghanaians are disappointed in the Akufo-Addo government therefore uncertain to secure their vote for the party as the country goes for election 2020.

“We don’t need CDD, EIU, IDEG to win an election in Ghana…all your analysis fundamentally flawed”, NPP Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen fumed in an interview MyNewsGh.com monitored on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show.

The Afrobarometer report indicated that 34% of Ghanaians said they will vote for the incumbent government while 22% said they will vote for the major opposition party, the NDC if elections were held the previous day.

“Who are the eligible voter in Ghana now? Are they using the 2016 or 2012 electoral register to do this analysis? When you start from a wrong premise, you arrive at a wrong conclusion”, the private legal practitioner told host, Daniel Asante.

An Afrobarometer report by the Center for Democratic Development (CDD) indicated that 12 per cent of Ghanaians are unsure of voting for any political party in the 2020 elections.

When asked which party’s candidate they would vote for if presidential elections were held the following day, more than four in 10 Ghanaians (42%) said they would either not vote (11%), did not know who to vote for (12%), or refused to answer the question (19%).
