Bawumia handlers must shield him against NPP’s internal ‘dark forces’- Franklin Cudjoe

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

The handlers of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are being called upon to offer him the kind of protection that insulates him from the machination of the forces of darkness within the party, MyNewsGH.com can report.

According to founding President of IMANI, Franklin Cudjoe, it is possible the Vice President was set up for mockery from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who have in the past been accused of not reading by the then Vice Presidential candidate of the NPP.

This comment comes after it was discovered that expired food items had been presented by the vice president to hundreds of residents affected by floods following the spillage of the Bagre Dam in the Wa Municipality.

It has also been used as a tribalism pointer by opposition elements such as defeated Ashanti regional chairman aspirant of the NDC, Joseph Yammin, who accused Dr Bawumia of poisoning his northern brothers; wondering why the expired foods was not presented in the Northern Region- the VEEP’s home region which had also being affected by the floods- but rather Upper West. To be clear, social media users have called this thinking “very silly”.

But Mr Franklin Cudjoe believes all the events might have been orchestrated by “internal dark forces” against the second most important citizen of Ghana.

“It will be in the interest of the handlers of our Vice President to ensure he is not set up by internal dark forces in his party.”, Mr Cudjoe said.

“As they may be aware by now, the opposition NDC which the veep described as uncritical readers of everything meaningful, now mock him, that he rather doesn’t read, otherwise why would he be distributing expired food items to traumatised victims of floods.” He added.

“But as we know, it was the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) that provided the expired relief items. Perhaps this unfortunate incident will cause the veep to call for a politicization of NADMO which frankly is filled largely with party footsoldiers who are mostly unqualified.”He continued.

Sabotaging Bawumia’s ambition, if any…

Another Joseph- not a Yammin this time- Yieleh Chireh an NDC MP hailing from the “expired food” region agrees with Franklin Cudjoe. According to him, the expired items were deliberately included in the items donated by the vice president to create disaffection for him.

“For me, I believe people want to sabotage the vice president in case there is room for him to become president,” he said.

Mr Chireh who is also ranking member on Parliament’s Health Committee was unable to name any NPP member he suspects included the items but is certain that could not have been anyone from his party, the NDC.

He said the incident is unfortunate, “but it appears they want to put him [Bawumia] in a very bad media light.”

He wants the incident thoroughly investigated and the culprits punished for bringing such disgrace on the vice president.
