A spokesman for Alban Bagbin, Isaac Baningen, is reported to have ditched his boss and endorsed Former President John Mahama.

According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, Baningen took the opportunity to declare his support for Mahama during a campaign tour of the Upper West Region.

He is reported to have stormed the venue for Mahama’s campaign and requested to interact with the delegates.

Upon being given the opportunity to do so, he stated that Mahama is the best candidate to win back power for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“A candidate like John Mahama has what it takes to get us back to the government, and we must not experiment with just anyone for election 2020,” he said to cheers from the delegates.

Mahama has touted his credentials as the best ahead of the rest to lead the party, urging delegates to select him because he is the best to snatch power from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to him, he is the most experienced, has the qualities to unite the party and has the ability to go into the contest of 2020 to win victory for the NDC.

He is contesting with 12 other candidates to be selected as NDC’s flagbearer for the 2020 elections.
