The Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwame Baffoe popularly called ‘Abronye DC’ has revealed that controversial musician A Plus has been awarded a three million Ghana cedis BOST contract by the Akufo-Addo’s government.

A situation he described as ‘unfortunate’ for the musician to be enjoying whiles the party’s polling executives who struggled to see the NPP in power wallow in poverty.

According to him, A Plus has benefited from the eight months of Akufo-Addo’s government more than any other NPP member, saying he will ensure that the contract is terminated.

He said A Plus was contracted to lift oil for the Bulk Oil and Storage Transport (BOST) after he composed a song for the party during 2016 general elections.

He wondered why the government has been doling out money to A Plus saying he has become arrogant due to the money he is enjoying.

‘…I never met A Plus in any of the regions during the campaign period, those in the Arts and Entertainment Industry who worked hard are Agya Koo, Lucky Mensah and others. A Plus was contracted to compose the song, the party paid him for the song. A Plus has benefited from the eight months of Akufo-Addo’s government more than any other NPP member.

He has a contract with BOST where he lifts oil, he earns three million Ghana cedis (thirty billion old currency) every month because of this lousy song he composed for the party. I am telling you, I will stop him from talking, if he has 200 mega watts of venom to spew, I have 500 watts, he should dare me. What has the constituency station executives and polling agents got from the government,’ Abronye DC asked.

Abronye’s comment comes after A Plus took to his Facebook page to attack the two Deputies Chief of Staff Francis Asenso-Boakye and Abu Jinapor describing them as ‘corrupt fools’.

But speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkra, Abronye DC claimed A Plus told Mr Asenso-Boakye to lobby for him (A Plus) to be awarded the printing of public staff’s pay slip hence the vile attack on him (Asenso-Boakye).

‘Whenever his demands are rejected, he takes to social media to insult people,’ he disclosed.

He said A Plus’ song composed for the party didn’t win them votes adding that polling and constituency station agents worked hard to amass votes for the party.

The Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser said they didn’t canvass for votes in order to enrich ourselves when they win power but to solve issues bedeviling the nation.

He called on the security forces to arrest A Plus to assist in investigations for claiming that the two deputies are corrupt.
