Tadi Kidnapping: Do more to rescue our girls – Concerned Mothers protest

The Concerned Mothers Association of Ghana has this morning mounted placards around the Kwame Nkrumah roundabout in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis to demand the immediate return of the three girls who were kidnapped last year.

The demonstration, according to the convener, Mrs. Josephine Amo had been necessitated by the recent jail sentence pronounced on the alleged kidnapper, Samuel Wills by a Takoradi District Magistrate Court.

She said, the sentence must not be the end of the case but rather an opening to the substantive case of kidnapping as well as immediate release of the girls to their families.

Some placards read “Police, up your game, Ghanaians are looking up to you Ghana police, Cid bring our girls” among others.

The inability of the Police and other security agencies to find the girls who were kidnapped last year has resulted in increased criticisms and apprehension.
