Medeama SC head coach Samuel Boadu is confident of a win over Asante Kotoko in their GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition opener on Thursday.

The Yellow and Mauves lads will be playing their first game of the competition after their match-day one fixture with Berekum Chelsea was postponed.

On the other hand, Kotoko began their campaign on a winning note following a 1-0 win over Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Porcupine Warriors are favourites heading into this game in Tarkwa but the 33-year-old gaffer says his side is ready for the game.

"We are ready for the game against Asante Kotoko. They are favourites but we’ll give off our best on Thursday in Tarkwa,” coach Boadu said in a press-match conference.

"We have absolute respect for Kotoko. They played in Africa and have the best team in Ghana at the moment. We must work hard against them."

“We can’t be among the favourites. We are just working hard at training. We have to wait to see.”
