Swansea City could release Ghana striker Jordan Ayew at the end of the season.

The Ghanaian international seemed to have lost favor from his manager Paul Clement who could be forced to release him following his failure to impress since joining the Walsh Club.

Ayew is yet to find the back of the net after four matches for the Club.

The attacker has been unable to deliver after stepping in for injured striker Fernando Llorente.

His poor performance has left his Coach worried hence contemplating on releasing him at the end of the season.

“We missed Fernando – he is a big focal point for us,” Clement said, as reported by his club's official website.

“That is not to say Jordan Ayew did not play well. He gave us another dynamic that Fernando doesn’t have.

“But of course Fernando is a miss. He has an ankle issue that I am hoping will not keep him out for long. Wednesday, [a win against Tottenham Hotspur] is achievable, although he is still a doubt for that game.

“He has a chance, but we are very much looking at him day to day.”

“We have to win games and we haven’t done that in the last three,” Clement added.

“We are disappointed about that, but we have put a point on the board and we will have to see if that is really valuable or not enough at the end of the season.”

The forward joined Swansea City in a swap deal from Championship side Aston Villa.
