Minority Chief Whip of Ghana's Parliament, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak has called for the immediate removal from the House the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong for the year 2019.

He said comments made by the Member of Parliament does not befit the credibility bestowed him as a Member of Parliament, therefore he must be suspended for this year.

“My view and prayer is that at least he should be sanctioned for the rest of the session and the rest of the session is the rest of the year from all parliament proceedings, so that when he is sanctioned and suspended for the whole of the session it will amount to him losing his humanity on his post,” he said.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Asawase constituency, Alhaji Mubarak Muntaka in the August House today, Wednesday hotly exchanged words with Kennedy Agyapong over a matter referred to the privileges committee.

He has been referred to the committee due to comments he made months before the killing of Tiger Eye P.I investigator, Ahmed Husein-Suale.

However, the intrusion of some members of the House present at the time prevented the two from engaging in an open fight on top of the exchange of foul words.

The action by the lawmakers took place before the House started its proceedings for the day.
