Ghana coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor will name a 23-man squad list for the Group C match against the senior national team of Sudan this month.

Kickgh.com understand that five locally based players are likely to receive an invitation to the Black Stars for the crunch encounter.

Two goalkeepers namely Eric Ofori Antwi and Richard Attah of Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak are considered for a possible call-up by the technical handlers of the Black Stars. One of the above-mentioned shot-stoppers will earn a place in the squad list to be announced on Tuesday

Defender Zackaria Fusieni has also been tipped to get his debut call-up to the Black Stars of Ghana following his superlative performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Fusieni is currently regarded as the one of the best centre-back in the local scene for the pat seasons.

He was a member of the Black Meteors squad that represented Ghana at 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations staged in Egypt.

On-loan Medeama SC midfielder Justice Blay has emerged as one of the enforcers who has been considered for a call-up under CK Akonnor following his exploits at Asante Kotoko.

He has established himself as a key performer at Asante Kotoko since his arrival at the club.

Blay has scored twice in his ten league appearances for Asante Kotoko in their 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season

In-form striker Yahaya Mohammed is set to earn a maiden invitation to the Black Stars of Ghana after an explosive performance this season.

He has netted ten goals in the Ghana Premier League after match week 12.

Ghana will host Sudan in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Cape Coast Stadium on March 27 before traveling to Khartoum for second leg tie on March 30.
