I'll live in style when I leave parliament - Ken Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong says he is not afraid to leave parliament as he plans on living in style after his exit.

The outspoken legislature says no amount of plea from his constituents will make him rescind his decision not to contest in the 2020 elections.

Kennedy Agyapong’s decision to leave the house of legislature in 2020 comes on the back of a recent outburst which landed him before the Privileges Committee.

Mr Agyapong was accused of describing the house as useless and cheap but appearing before the committee, he insisted he only said the house was cheap.

Even though he apologised for his comment, Mr Agyapong says his wife was appalled by the video tendered as evidence against him by MP for Asawase, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka and has since advised him not to contest the seat again.

“I won’t go again; my constituents will try all they can to persuade me but I won’t go again. I have a life to live and I will entreat people to come see my lifestyle after parliament”.

He added that “when I’m out of parliament, I will live in style”.
