Ghana and Greuther Furth player Hans Nunoo Sarpei has called the decision to resume football activities in Germany amid the CoronaVirus pandemic an essential one for all stakeholders involved.

The German Bundesliga becomes the first major league to make a return to action after a May 16 date was endorsed following the relaxation of restrictions imposed by government due to Covid-19.

The German football leagues were suspended in mid-March as government put in place measures to deal with the CoronaVirus pandemic.

Hans Nunoo Sarpei who plays in the German Bundesliga 2 says he’s eager to return to playing once again.

The 21 year old midfielder is on loan from Stuttgart and he described the return to playing football again a very important decision.

“It’s a very good feeling, it’s a very important decision that the government took especially for us to get back to what we love doing most and also enjoy the game, he said.

“Yeah, not only that but also to keep the fans around the world of football, at least to keep them going, having something to do”.

“And also to decide at the end of the season, who wins championship, who ualifies and who gets relegated, so it’s an important decision for us that the green light has been given” he concluded.
