Coach local Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu, says the team is confident of winning the game against Burkina Faso on August 11 in Ouagadougou as well as the return leg on August 18.

He told Onua FM Monday that said the team is however cautious of the danger the Burkinabes are likely to pose to his side in the games.

“We are very confident but we also need to know that we are going to play a very strong opponent (Burkina Faso). We respect our opponent but we are confident we can win away from home.

It’s just that we have to know that Burkina is a good side,” he said. Coach Konadu said they have examined the strength of the Burkinabes and are working to avoid mistakes of committing fouls and allowing counter attacks during the games.

“We’ve realize that they are good with set pieces so we will try to avoid fouls at danger areas. They are also good with counter attacks and we are working on all that. With the materials we have at the moment, I think we can go and make Ghana proud,” he said.
