Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah set to join the Black Stars team in Iceland for Ghana’s friendly encounter against the Boys next week Thursday in Reykjavik.

The 26-year old combative midfielder had decided not to join the Black Stars team for the trip because of agitations about appearance fees.

Reports are that the former Sampdoria midfielder refused to travel with the Black Stars from Accra to Japan when the players were told that they will be given $2000 instead of the usual $5000 they take.

Acquah, according to reports, later decided to make a U-turn to join the team in Japan on his own but couldn’t make it due to flight issues.

442gh.com can exclusively report that Acquah is currently in Holland and will fly this afternoon to Iceland to join his teammates.

This means midfielder will be available for selection in next Thursday’s game at the 15,000 capacity Laugardalsvöllur Stadium in Reykjavik.
