All-Share index takes a dip

Accra, Feb. 17, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index took a dip during Friday's trading going down by 2.78 points from 4,728.77 points to 4,725.99 points. Change in the year to date index was -0.90 per cent.

Four equities experienced price changes - two gainers and two decliners.

CAL Merchant Bank (CAL) shed off 100 cedis at 1,500 cedis while British America Tobacco (BAT) lost one cedi at 3,049 cedis. The gainers were Aluworks (ALW), which gained 39 cedis at 5,750 cedis and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) that also went up by 40 cedis at 8,450 cedis. Traded shares were 268,800 with CAL selling 163,900 of its shares. Market Capitalisation was down at 91,834.32 billion cedis from 91,841.68 billion cedis on Thursday.
