Fidelity Bank Launches “Go for Gold” Promotion

? A 24-carat gold bar goes to an ultimate winner

? Promotion to run for six months (August 2010 – March 2011)

Accra, August 16, 2010 - Leading Ghanaian Bank, Fidelity Bank has launched a deposit mobilization campaign to attract 20,000 new customers to the bank. The “Go for Gold” campaign, among other rewards will encourage savings culture in all Ghanaians for a happy and comfortable future.

With an ultimate prize of a 24-carat 1 kilogram bar of gold and other amazing prizes at stake, the general public is encouraged to take part in the six-month campaign by saving with Fidelity Bank. New customers are required to open an account and maintain a minimum of GHC300 or multiples of it for one month to get a coupon to enter both the monthly and grand draws. Existing customers alike, have to top up their accounts and maintain a minimum of GH300 or multiples of it for one month to qualify for the monthly and grand draws.

Other prizes to complement the 24-carat gold bar include all expense-paid holidays at places of choice in Ghana and Africa, gold jewelry sets, wax prints, laptops, Ipad, and black berry phones as well home appliances such as washing machines and home theatres. The campaign ends with a grand draw in March 2011.
In a speech delivered on his behalf, His Excellency the Vice President, John Dramani Mahama commended Fidelity bank for this innovative initiative, adding that it is very characteristic that the bank chose gold as its grand prize which seeks to promote Ghana’s most prized natural resource. He urged all Ghanaians to participate in the ‘GO FOR GOLD’ promotion.
Management of Fidelity Bank says the bank will be also using the campaign as a unique platform to raise funds to support children at the New Horizon Special School. Fidelity Bank will establish an educational fund for the school to offer the children a ‘golden experience’.
The ‘GO FOR GOLD’ was launched at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall with several dignitaries including business executives, corporate entities, the press and the Deputy Finance Minister Hon. Fiifi Kwetey who represented the Vice President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as the guest of honour.
