Darko boxing and fitness gym, the first Ghanaian owned boxing gym in New York opened it's doors to the general public , at a colorful ceremony .

The gym is a world class boxing facility located on a 4,500 square feet prime property at 41-25 58TH Street, Queens a suburb of New York.

The gym is a partnership between the New York State Attorney and license boxing Manager ,Eric Okyere- Darko , ESQ, former two time Olympics head trainer , Innocent Tuente- Tamo and Amateur Boxer and Entrepreneur Harrison Barba .

" The gym provides an opportunity for boxers from Ghana and Bukum in particular , boxing lovers to meet the recent and aspiring world boxing champions as they prepare for their title fights and also open to general public to accesses their fitness" Attorney Okyere -Darko noted.

The New York based attorney with a licensed boxing manager who have handle the former world boxing title holders like Ben "Wonder" Tackie- the former 140 pound International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion, Barimah Kamoko aka " Bukum Banku" the current 2ND rated contender of the World Boxing Organization(WBO) Emmanuel Lartei - Lartey, the former champion of African Boxing Union(ABU) and many more of aspiring boxers. " it is our hope that this facility will help produce many boxing champions especially under -privileged of hard boxers from Ghana", " the boxing Attorney" noted..

He noted that, the gym have a 1st class instructor's who runs the facility and the general public should squeezed a time of their tight schedule to see how the DARKO BOXING GYM runs with a professional touch and well trained costumer care.

" Am not doing this for only for the financial gain, no far from that but am going back to the public and also to promote the boxing and fitness is my aim and mission" Attorney Darko continued.

Harrison Baba an entrepreneur, Innocent Tuente - Tamo, a trainer to several Olympic and World Boxing Champion were there to give a helping hand to people who were at the newly opened boxing gym try their hands on the new equipments.
