Prang chief donates vast acres of land to support construction of district hospital

The Chiefs and people of Prang in the Pru West District in the Bono East region have made available vast acres of land to support the construction of a District Hospital in the area.

The proposed land is part of the community’s effort to support the government towards the construction of one of the 88 earmarked district hospitals to be constructed across the country.

The Paramount Chief of the Prang Traditional Council, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III revealed that a befitting hospital for the people in the area will be a dream comes true.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III decried the sad reality where Prang and its surrounding communities relying on the less equipped health center over the years.

According to him, it is, therefore, proper that they support the construction of the hospital to cater for the health needs of the people.

“My chiefs and I have decided to support the building of the District Hospital in the area with over 15 acres of land. The land is ready with all the necessary documentation completed and we are hopeful that the process will commence soon since the people of this area have been yearning for a District Hospital for a long time.”

Government at the heat of the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country announced the construction of 88 districts across the country.

The construction of the 88 hospitals is to close the gap of assessing healthcare in the country following the outbreak of the COVID-19.
