The CEO of the Middle Belt Development Authority, Joe Danquah, says the number of projects undertaken and the ones earmarked to be undertaken before the 2020 elections will be the game changer and that Ghanaians will be overwhelmed and willingly renew the mandate of Nana Addo's government for the next 4 years.

He said this when he met with Members of Parliament in five regions separately in a three-day workshop held in the Eastern, Ashanti, Bono East, Ahafo and Bono regional capitals.

Hon. Joe Danquah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, explained that the workshop focused on the 1 million US dollars per Constituency projects.

He reiterated that the workshop also created awareness on the operational mandate, strategic objectives and core functions of the authority, assessment of previous works undertaken by the authority through the Ministry for Special Development Initiative (MDSI), what have been done in the various constituencies, the implementation of the projects in their various Constituencies, re-awarding contracts of projects which are stalled and last but not the least, the way forward of 2019 to 2020 projects identified by the MPS and the action plan from the Authority.

Joe Danquah used the opportunity to highlight some of the undertakings by the authority.

The projects include warehouses, toilets with mechanized boreholes, community-based mechanized solar-powered system and one ambulance per constituency, amongst other projects.

He further explained that the operational areas of the Authority cover 109 constituencies, of which 29 out of the 109 are in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions respectively.

"Some of the projects have been completed, others are ongoing while some have been abandoned," he said.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development Authority, when he visited the projects sites in all the 29 constituencies in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions, he observed that there were no signpost, community members were not aware that the projects were part of the 1 million US dollars per constituency.

Joe Danquah who is also a Parliamentary Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), in Banda Constituency also outlined the Authority's vision for the good people of Banda and they include market, landing site, irrigation dams, roads amongst others.

"I will have talks with the Bui Power Authority to oblige their social responsibilities to the people of Banda," he added.
