NDC EU Group Congratulates Women Organiser of Sweden Branch

The NDC EU Group congratulates Angela Aku Tarras-Wahlberg, NDC’s women’s Organiser in Sweden on her Award in Norway as a “World Ambassador of Peace”.

The Award was officially given to her at a ceremony in Oslo, Norway on the 9th of August by the Award body, the Universal Peace Federation based in Norway. '' Mrs Angela Aku Tarras-Wahlberg (''Nee Gaveh'') was honoured and awarded together with 4 others from around the World as ''Ambassadors For Peace.'' Present at the Award were over hundreds of people coming from different nations all over the world, such as Spain, Denmark, UK, Norway, Iran, Egypt, India, Ghana, Slovakia, Germany, USA, etc. Occupations ranged between renowned politicians, religious leaders, Retired Ex-servicemen, businessmen, artists, students, Technologists, University Lecturers, Humanitarians, and National scientists.

Angela Aku Gaveh is also the Chairperson of World Ambassadors of Hope Foundation in Sweden and Vice chairperson for Volunteers for Homeless International. In the last 3Years she has been the Women's Organiser for the National Democratic Congress Party(Sweden) and in this role has liaised with a number of Gender Right Institutions and the Swedish Parliament to raise awareness of women’s Rights and other Gender issues in Africa. She is also an active member of the Ghana Union in Sweden.

The Award was in recognition for her immense effort towards Humanitarian Work and World Peace. When asked how she felt about the Award, she said she dedicates it to her late dad, mother and brother who both passed away recently who would have been very proud of her. They also are an epitome of Peace, she said!.
