In line with His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s directive on public wearing of face masks, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon has distributed over 20,000 nose masks to her constituents.

The kind gesture of the MP is part of her “I CARE STAY SAFE” campaign, an initiative to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Lydia Alhassan added sewing machines for the manufacture of 50,000 masks in the constituency.

She indicated this on her Facebook; “In order to extend this exercise to more constituents to help stop the spread of the virus, we have acquired sowing machines and commissioned 20 dressmakers in the constituency to help produce 50,000 face masks with the specifications outlined by the Food and Drugs Authority. The dressmakers have also been provided with the prescribed FDA material for the production as well as other necessary materials…I would like to reiterate my confidence in the local human resource potential, my constituents and the nation at large presents as we battle COVID -19”.
