Kwakwaduam Association Inc donates to the School for the Blind

The Kwakwaduam Association Inc of the New York Tri State Area has donated clothing and other items worth about $3,500.00 to the Akropong School for the Blind in Ghana. This donation forms part of the Global Initiative of the Organization which is a US federal Tax Exempt group.

The mission of Kwakwaduam is to organize activities aimed at enhancing the quality of health, educational, cultural and socio-economic lives of it members and to extend the same to the community. The mission also embodies activities to improve the quality of life of the community of its roots in Ghana.

It will be recalled that in the past as part of its Global Initiative, Kwakwaduam has donated a Shuttle bus to the Health Clinic, provided street lights, collaborated with the Accra Rotary Club West in providing a $30,000.00 water project for Akropong Akwapim in the Eastern region part of Ghana.

Commenting on the activities of the Organization, The President, Dr. Kwame Aniapam Boafo said that Kwakwaduam believes that the best part of every person’s life is what she/he gives back to society. He indicated that Kwakwaduam is in the middle of feasibility studies to modernize the water supply system at the School for the Blind to make it easy for the children to access water which is burden for the blind children at this time.
