Ghana records 5 new deaths as coronavirus cases cross 20,000

Ghana’s Coronavirus case count reached 20,085 on Thursday, July 2, 2020, with 5 new deaths.

The country's number of deaths has increased from 117 to 122.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the 697 new cases recorded are from samples taken from June 16 to July 1.

Of the 20,085 positive cases Ghana has recorded, 14,870 are reported to have recovered or been discharged from the hospital leaving 5,093 active cases for health professionals to manage.

22 persons are said to be in severe condition whilst 8 are in critical condition.
