Ghana Medical Association donates to Worawora Government Hospital

The Ghana Medical Association donated personal protective equipment including surgical gloves, face mask, gowns as well as various quantities of hand sanitizers and disinfectants to the Worawora Government Hospital, Oti Region which is one of the COVID-19 treatment centers in the Oti region.

The donation was in line with the initiative of the GMA to support frontline health workers in the country.

Dr Joseph Appeadido, a member of the GMA did the donation on behalf of the Divisional Chairman, Dr Kwaku Appiagyei.

He commended the management of the hospital and staff for their continual sacrifice in the face of difficulties and risks posed by COVID-19.

He emphasized the need to comply with Hospital safety and IPC protocols to safeguard the health workers.

Dr Isaac Secorm, Medical Superintendent of the hospital thanked the GMA for their donation and said it shall go a long way to support the hospital to manage COVID-19 related cases.

He appealed for more support with PPEs and other consumables from the community , corporate institutions and individuals.

This he said will help health workers provide care safely in the face posed by COVID-19.
