Miss Abigail Opoku, a student of the Economics Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has donated quantities of items to taxi drivers in the Ejisu Municipality to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The items included alcohol-based hand sanitizers, face masks, Veronica buckets, and tissue papers.

Miss Opoku presenting the items said she was very much concerned about the failure of most commercial drivers in the Municipality to wear protective gears during their working times.

She said the items was her little contribution to support the drivers to protect themselves and their passengers.

Miss Opoku, who is a level 100 student, appealed to the drivers to adhere strictly to the preventive and restrictive protocols outlined by the government to prevent the further spread of the virus in the country.

She also appealed to the drivers to ensure that passengers wore nose masks and washed their hands before boarding their vehicles.
