Barekese citizen in US donates medical equipment to health centre

Barekese (Ash), May 14, GNA - Dr Kwame Afreh Adusei, a citizen of Barekese in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District and resident in the United States, has donated medical equipment worth about 30 million cedis to the Barekese Health Centre.

Mr Kwasi Adusei, a former assemblyman and a brother to the donor who made the presentation, said it was his contribution to efficient and effective health delivery in the area.

He said Dr Adusei would continue to support the development of the town when the need arises.

Mr Thomas Ofori-Donkor, the District Chief Executive who received the items, thanked the donor and his family and appealed to him to extend the gesture to the Asuofua Health Centre in the area that is in need of equipment.

Madam Beatrice Appah, the Atwima-Nwabiagya District Director of Health Services, commended Dr Adusei for his support for health delivery activities in the district and promised to name one of the departments of the centre after him.
