Father of one of the Takoradi kidnapped girls, Mr. Francis Bentum has threatened to curse some appointees of Akufo-Addo-led government who promised to bring their children back home.

The Police, on Monday evening, confirmed the death of the missing Takoradi girls; Ruth Abakah, Priscilla Kuranchie, Ruth Love Quayson, and Priscilla Blessing Bentum after the DNA tests on human remains found near the home of the main suspect in the case.

Speaking to Daniel Kaku on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Diabene after a press conference organised by Western Youth for Justice (WYF), Blessing Bentum's father, the latter blamed the CID boss, Maame Tiwaa, Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery and National Security Minister, Bryan Acheampong for deceiving them that they will bring their children home.

Though the angry father believes his daughter and the rest are alive but didn't spare the accused Akufo-Addo's appointees at all.

"My daughter is still alive; she is not dead because her spirit is in me so if she is dead like I will feel it or my other children will feel it. "We don't believe in the DNA report because we have not seen the report they are talking about".

He, therefore, threatened to curse them adding that he was going to perform sacrifices by consulting oracles.

He called on President Akufo-Addo to advise his appointees not to cross the Beposo bridge on the Takoradi-Cape Coast Highways else something mysterious would happen to them.

He said he would let the gods of Ahanta deal with them anytime they cross the bridge.

"We are giving God one week to go on leave, we are going to consult oracles. We are telling President Akufo-Addo to advise his appointees not to cross the bridge at Beposo on the Takoradi-Cape Coast Highways, they should travel by air anytime they are coming to Takoradi else something mysterious will happen, he vowed.

"We have gods in Ahanta and Ahanta gods are very wicked and they should stand firm because what is coming is serious and they need to wear hats", he added.

Addressing the media earlier at Diabene Market Square, a suburb of Takoradi, the President for Western Youth for Justice (WYF), John Entsie lamented the initial posture of the security agencies in responding to the news of the missing girls back in 2018.

He added that the DNA result released to confirm the death of the girls is but a way to deliberately end the search for the girls.

On behalf of the angry group, the President gave the Akufo-Addo-led government a one-week ultimatum to strip the CID boss, Interior Minister and National Security Ministers off their respective posts.

“What they are trying to tell us is that the so-called skeletons they retrieved from the septic tank are those of our girls, but it is a lie. They just want to cover up their foul play. We want them to understand that the CID boss, Interior Minister and the National Security Minister must be sacked within a week.”

In his outburst, he noted that the CID boss’ assurance that they knew the whereabouts of the girls, then subsequent reassurances by the National Security Minister and Interior Minister made it clear that the girls were alive. However, the sudden turnaround of events is contradictory.

He hinted that if the CID boss, Interior Minister and National Security Minister were not sacked, there would be no peace in the country.

“…If these people are not sacked, there will be no peace in Ghana, I repeat there will be no peace in Ghana. Government listen and listen well if these people are not sacked, it’s either we’re are shot dead or we shoot them dead…it'd be better they imprison us now,” he boldly emphasized amidst a charged atmosphere.

Some female residents also said if the girls are not found, they would not vote in 2020.

"If we don't see our girls, we will not vote in 2020 and they should try us. Why is it that still CID boss Tiwaa is still at post, we are not joking ooo, we will not vote in 2020", these irate residents chanted.
