Police have in custody Eric Kojo Duah, the lead suspect in the murder of two Police Officers at Kasoa, ABC News can confirm.

A situational report from the police Saturday morning states that the prime suspect was arrested at the Atimpoku Bridge in a black Golf car with registration number GW 5972-18.

The police had been on the heels of Eric Duah after he reportedly bolted from the crime scene on Wednesday, August 28.

A statement from the police on his arrest reads, “The prime suspect in the Buduburam shooting incident leading to the death of two police officers from the Kasoa Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has been arrested. The suspect, Eric Kojo Dua, who was declared wanted after the shooting incident on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Buduburam in the Central Region was arrested this morning, August 31, 2019, on the Adomi Bridge at Senchi in the Eastern Region.”

The statement adds that the arrest was based on a “combined operation of police officers led by personnel of the National Operations Department of the Police Headquarters.
