First Watch Security Company has organised an orientation exercise on security awareness for some 200 security guards.

The exercise is to prepare the security guards who will be deployed to various areas to check crime and protect lives and property during the Christmas festivities.

First Watch Security (FWS) is a registered Limited Liability Company licensed to provide security service by the Ministry of Interior.

First Watch Security is a dynamic company with a strong belief and commitment to the mental, physical and financial motivation of its workforce with a burning desire to keep a 100 per cent crime free record wherever it operates.

First Watch Security currently operates in the Greater Accra Region with satellite operation offices in selected regions in the country, Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, Western, Central and Brong-Ahafo.

In his address to the trained guards, Executive Director of the FWS, Edmund Kwarteng said, “First Watch Security is an institution that believes in you. We believe that through effective training anybody at all can be turned into a smart leader. No matter who or how you are, all that matters is for you to believe in yourself.’’

Mr. Kwarteng reminded the security guards of their duties as according to him, the training is to equip them to become vigilant on the ground, prevent theft and ensure work efficiency.

He further urged them to support management to achieve the goals and visions of the company adding that “structural and mechanical aids to security are valueless without the active support of each team member”.
