Apstar to fly from USA and Canada

APSTAR GHANA, operated by Hamburg International Airlines has concluded a deal with LTU (Lufttransport-Unternehmen Gmbh) of Germany, to move North American tourists from the USA and Canada through Duesseldorf, Germany to Accra.

Hamburg International Airlines has since 30th November 2004, been operating flights to Accra from Duesseldorf on behalf of APSTAR with a state-of-the-art Boeing aircraft. LTU will, beginning May 2005, operate flights from NEW YORK, MIAMI, LOS ANGELES, TORONTO and VANCOUVER to Duesseldorf. These flights will connect the Hamburg International flights from Duesseldorf to Accra with a connecting time of not more than 4 hours.

This arrangement will increase tourists arrival into Ghana, especially during the forthcoming PANAFEST celebrations in July 2005.
