Business workshop held to encourage youth to venture into entrepreneurship

A business workshop has been held by Confluent media to encourage youth on need to venture into entrepreneurship which will help tackle the current rate of unemployment in the country.

The event which was in partnership with Platinum Africa Solution and Femon Travels on September 1, 2018, at the British Council in Kumasi brought together speakers from Kumasi Technical University, E-Bridge Foundation (U.K) and Platinum Africa Solutions.

The youth were educated on the basics of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology which included answering questions about challenges that the business growth among entrepreneurs in the country.

Speaking at the event, the head of operations at Confluent Media, Mr. Sarfo Adams Junior urged Ghanaians to consider entrepreneurship as a better option of securing themselves jobs and better livelihoods.

He challenged youth in the Ashanti region to actively involve themselves in developmental workshop to meet and network, this he believes is a great motivational factor to young entrepreneurs.

The maiden edition “The Business Workshop” was organised under the theme creating sustainable and profitable business, with over 70 selected participants.

Mr Adams added that, Confluent Media through it’s strategic business and marketing research is focused to help address the Sustainable Development Goals to end extreme poverty, fight inequality, and address climate change.


This he said will encourage young people and those who work with young people to learn about the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and think about how these Goals can be incorporated into our everyday lives.
