Making its first appearance in America, the Ghana Property & Lifestyle Expo emerged in Atlanta, GA this past weekend with the purpose of bridging the gap with the Ghanaian diaspora and educating a broader international audience about the vast opportunities of Ghana’s expanding real estate market. More than three hundred people attended the 4-day expo beginning with a Thursday night networking mixer and closed with a private Sunday morning brunch.

Speakers at the event included Matilda Arhin from the Ghana International Chamber of Commerce, Stella Ansah from Ghana Embassy in Washington, and Anna Agyekum-Wilson from On Point Property Management Ltd the event’s London based organizer.

They both discussed ideas of economic responsibilities for those living in the diaspora and the importance of community engagement. "Kudos to you Anna and Victoria for an incredible event. I am excited for conference's growth and you have my full support." Says Matilda Arhin.

The Grand Hyatt hotel in Atlanta’s highly sought after Buckhead community was an obvious choice for the expo and hosting the inaugural event in Atlanta was largely due to the city’s international exposure and density of African/African-American citizens. “We choose Atlanta to launch The 1st edition of the Ghana Property & Lifestyle expo in the USA, as there is a large community of Ghanaian diaspora based here, including African Americans interested in Ghana for both tourism and investment.

We also have strong connections in Atlanta with Ghanaian Diaspora Associations and real estate industry professionals. Atlanta is a vibrant city with superb international airport and transport links which makes travel easily accessible for domestic and international visitors." Says Anna, Co Founder of GPLE.

Proudly sponsored by Imperial Homes and Stanbic Bank Ghana, future plans for the Ghana Property & Lifestyle Expo are expected to include Atlanta on an annual basis.

“We are currently looking into additional locations across Europe and USA, and excited about our growing relationship with the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office." Says Victoria, Co Founder of GPLE. "Roll on GPLE London 2018."
