Real estate agents advised to seek professional training

Reverend Kweku Addo, President of the Realtors Association of Ghana (RAGH) which was officially registered in 2013 has called on operators in the sector to have a common voice and unite to seek for a legal framework to function.

Speaking at their first General Meeting, he reiterated some of the goals of the Association such as practising as professionals to work in a conducive environment where ethical standard are used to enhance and project their performance.

He called for a unified voice and presence to enable them, as an interest group contribute to shaping policy and regulations.

According to Rev. Addo who is the director of Igloo Real Estate and Consult, the founding members share the conviction that all members should be trained and educated through continuing professional development programmes.

He noted the training opportunities would be expanded and made available to all interested Real Estate operators, especially the agents who do not have legal backing.

“RACH, as a corporate entity places premium on quality even as it works to increase its membership numerically. To this end, the quest to infuse ethical and professional standards into our business practices will be relentless. Entry requirement of applicants seeking membership will definitely not be a walk in the park. It will be a pledge to uphold the highest standards possible by providing professional service to the citizenry” he said.
