Kempinski Hotel Accra wins 5 Star Hotel of the Year at Ghana Hotel Awards

21st January 2018- In a glamorous event last Saturday 20th January 2018, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra Ghana emerged as the ‘5 star hotel of the year’ at this year’s Ghana Hotel Award’s.

The well-attended dinner attracted hospitality industry players across the country.

On receiving the award, Executive Assistant Manager, Miss Cornelia Zschunke could not hide her excitement and was thankful to the Ghana Hotel Association for conferring such an honour to the Kempinski Accra team. This is the second time the hotel has received this accolade; first for 2015 and now for 2017.

Mr Herbert Acquaye, the National President of the Ghana Hotels Association said the event was to honour hardworking hotels and hoteliers for their sterling performance in the industry and added the immense contribution of the industry towards the growth of the economy through employment, taxes and fees.

Founded in 1975 the Ghana Hotel Association was set up with the vision to see a vibrant hospitality sector whereby all hotels in the country have qualified personnel to merit international standards and offer quality service delivery.

Over the past few years, the Kempinski Hotel Accra Ghana has received several accolades such as the Best Hotel in West Africa from ATQ, Luxury New Hotel, Luxury Business Hotel and Luxury Hotel and Conference Center from the World Luxury Hotel Awards commanding reverence and setting the standard for luxury hotels within the country.
