Parliament approves 'Akufo-Addo justices'

Parliament on Tuesday, 25 September 2018 unanimously approved President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominees to the Supreme Court bench.

They are; Justice Samuel K. Marful-Sau, Justice of Appeal; Justice Agnes M. A. Dordzie, Justice of Appeal; Prof. Nil Ashie Kotey, former Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Ghana, Legon; and Nene A. O. Amegatcherr, private legal practitioner and former President of the Ghana Bar Association.

Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to swear them into office when he returns from the UN General Assembly in the United States of America.

The nominees were selected upon the advice of the Judicial Council and approved by the Council of State.
